Linda Ronstadt - White Rhythm & Blues

1946년 7월 15일에 미국 아리조나주 턱슨 시티에서 태어난 Linda Ronstadt는,1964년에 가수에의 꿈을 안고 

로스엔젤레스로 진출했다.
여기서 친구 밥 킴멜과 로스엔젤레스의 뮤지션 킨 에드워즈와 함께 Stone Poneys라는 자신의 그룹을 결성하고,

1966년에 캐피탈 레코드사와 전속 계약을 맺었다.

데뷰 앨범 「Stone Poneys」와 「Evergree」, 두 장의 앨범을 발표했지만 별 성과는얻지 못했다.
하지만 세번째 앨범 「Stoney Ends」를 발표하고, 싱글 Different Drum이 크게 히트되면서 대중들에게 린다 론스태트를 

성공의 길로 인도한 이 Different Drum 은 그룹 몽키스(Monkess)의 마이크 네스미스가 작곡한 곡으로, 국내에서도 

크게 히트했던 곡이다.

세장의 앨범을 마지막으로 린다 론스태트는 스톤 포니스를 떠나 솔로로 전향해, 1969년에 그녀의 첫 솔로 앨범 「Hard

Slown Home Grown」을 발표하였으며, 1970년에는「Silk Purse」라는 앨범을 발표하였다.

1978년 빌보드 앨범챠트 3번째 1위 앨범 [Living in the USA]에 수록된 곡으로,앨범은 빌보드 팝 앨범챠트 1위, 

컨츄리 앨범챠트 3위에 랭크되었다.
싱글 'Back in the U.S.A.'가 싱글챠트 16위, 'Ooh Baby Baby'는 챠트 7위,'Just One Look'은 챠트 44위에 올랐다.

 

'White Rhythm And Blues'는 싱글로는 발매되지 않았다.
이 곡은 J.d. Souther가 작곡한 곡으로, J.d. Souther는 이듬해 자신의 히트앨범[You're Only Lonely]에 

이 곡을 수록하여 발표하여 AC 챠트 46위에 올랐다.
