드러머이자 소울 싱어로 유명한 Buddy Miles의 70년대 히트곡이다.

버디는 자신의 아버지 밴드인 The Bebops에 12세 때 드러머로 프로 데뷔한다.

"Earth, Wind & Fire", "KC and the Sunshine Band", "Kool & The Gang"등과

같은 주로 세련되고 정제된 리듬위에서 신나는 음악, 흥겨운 음악을 하는

흑인위주의 그룹과 함께 70년대 고고 전성시대를 풍미하게 된다.

 

Funk는 선율의 변화가 거의 없으며 리듬(그루브)이 거의 모든 것을 차지하고 있는

음악적 형태로서 디스코나 랩에도 많은 영향을 미치게 되며,

이후 이들의 음악, 특히 KC & The Sunshine Band와 같은

Funky그룹은 80년대를 지배한 Duran Duran과 같은 뉴웨이브음악을

탄생시키는 결정적 계기를 제공하게 된다
