1943년 잉글리드 버그만,·험프리 보가트 주연의, 미국 워너브러더스사가

만든 흑백영화로서. 2차대전이 한창일 무렵, 프랑스를 함락하고 거의

유럽의 전부를 석권한 독일의 공세가 격렬 했을 때 북아프리카의 대서양

해안에 있는 프랑스령 모로코의 수도인 Casablanca를 배경으로 남녀의

사랑을 주제로 만든 동명의 영화주제가인 'As Times Goes By'를 회상

하면서 느낀 감정을 다시 Bertie Higgins에 의해 새롭게
Casablanca란 제목으로 빅 히트시킨 음악이다

플로리다 출신의 가수 버티히긴스가 1982년 내놓은 'Just Another Day

in Paradise'라는 데뷔 앨범에 수록된 곡으로 음반이 발매 되자마자 무려

29주 동안이나 빌보드 차트에 머무는 빅히트를 기록했던 곡으로

1983년 국내에서도 폭발적인 인기가 있었던 노래중에 한곡 이다.
